The first Watkins Copicat was made by Charlie Watkins in the late 1950s, and it changed music forever. They became commercially available early in 1960 and probably the first one to be sold went to Johnny Kidd who used it on ‘Shakin’ All Over’.
This one is a Mk 4, introduced in the early 1970s, and the one you’re most likely to come across, being super-reliable. In great condition and comes complete with 9 spare new tapes.
