This custom order, US made, Carvin SB4000 Lined Fretless bass guitar is absolutely stunning. The SB4000 was a signature model designed with bass guitar great, Sekou Bunch – no longer in production.
The bass has a solid mahogany body with a lovely Tiger Flame maple top, and Carvin chrome hardware. The 34” scale maple neck has a lined fretless ebony fretboard. The single coil J-Bass style Carvin Alnico pickups are controlled by a master volume, pickup blender, passive tone and a stacked active bass and treble controls.
The bass is in really good condition – there are a couple of tiny dings to the back (too small to pick up on pictures) and there are some marks on scratch plate and body between the 2 pickups where a ramp was fitted by previous owner, but overall great condition – weight isn’t too bad measuring 4.2kg on our scales (someone always asks!). The bass comes complete with its original Carvin branded G&G hard case which has had new catches added as all the original catches have been broken.
