The Original Series was the very first Lowden range from 1976, just as the ‘O’ model is George’s original Lowden body design. The 25 was often thought of as THE Lowden. Nowadays with many more new models it is not possible to say which would be THE Lowden, but the 25 has character in bags. Rosewood back and sides with a Cedar soundboard gives it’s rich, full-bodied, warm and powerful sound - great for percussive strumming, flat picking and fingerpicking.
This 2015 cutaway model is in great condition, with only a few tiny marks around the edges to show for its age (see last 4 pictures), and comes complete with the factory fitted LR Baggs Anthem pick-up system and its original Lowden embossed hard shell case.
