Epiphone reissued the RIVOLI BASS (MODEL EBR1) from 1993 to 1999. Manufactured in the Peerless factory in Korea it was made to look identical to the original Rivoli but had a maple neck, instead of mahogany. The Sidewinder pickup was also different sounding to the original and it had a three-point bridge instead of the original two-point unit.
This 1996 model is in excellent condition, in the rarer blond finish. The pickup has been changed to a higher output Artec EBC4 Mudbucker Pickup (original pickup is included) and a “mod bar” has been added to the three-point bridge to stop the silks sitting on the saddles (a common mod for these basses). The bass does have a repaired hairline crack to the heel carried out over a year ago (see final picture) – no effect on the playability of the bass but we have reflected this in the price. Comes complete with oversized acoustic bass padded gig bag.
