1978 Fender Stratocaster in Natural finish on an Ash body, with Maple Neck and Fingerboard. The guitar is in fantastic condition with only 2 cracks in the scratch plate to show for its years.
The guitar has had a couple of upgrades during its life - The tremolo has been upgraded to the excellent Callaham unit and works really well. The guitar also benefits from a refret with med-jumbo fret wire and the front of the neck has been re-lacquered. And the strap buttons have been replaced with modern strap lock buttons.
Everything else on the guitar is original, including; the 3 flatpole piece single coil Stratocaster pickups dating to '78; 3 CTS pots (one has pot codes hidden under solder); 2 string retainers; the original scratch plate which still has sticker matching the serial number to that on the headstock. The pickups are perfectly balanced and sound fantastic; strung with a new set of 10s the guitar plays as good as it looks and comes complete with hard shell case.
