Product Details

The CSL 59er Deluxe is a Lawsuit Era Les Paul copy made in the FujiGen Gakki factory in Matsumoto Japan (Ibanez/Grecco/Antoria…) and is the same specification as the Ibanez 59er from the same period.

The CSL brand name was used on guitars distributed in the UK by Summerfield Brothers of Gateshead England. CSL stands for Charles Summerfield Limited. CSL guitars were made during the 1970s in the FujiGen Gakki factory and were typically copies of popular American models, as well as basses by Fender, Gibson and Rickenbacker.

This 59er Deluxe is all original and comes complete with the original case. The pickups are the superb Maxon Super 70s and the guitar features the Gibson style open book headstock on the top of its bolt on neck. The guitar has a few minor dings and scratches (really difficult to photograph on a black guitar), mainly around the edges, and the gold hardware has tarnished with age. The guitar still plays and sounds fantastic, especially with these really powerful super 70s.

Shipping within mainland UK using fully insured 24-hour courier service. Customers outside of UK should contact Vintage Rare & Retro Guitars for a shipping quotation. Free pick-up is available at our Gullane shop.
