This is beautiful and quirky looking guitar is the "5/114 Fret Jet" model by the German manufacturer "Framus", manufactured from 1960 through to the end of the 60s.
One of the biggest luthiers in Germany at that time Framus is well known for their interesting designs and the durability of their instruments. The “Fret Jet" Series was one of the higher quality thinline semi acoustics they produced. The Framus model number was 5/114 and its features include binding to front and back of the body and the f-holes, a very quirky looking tremolo system and twin Schaller P90 style pickups. The black rose burst finished body is made out of spruce top, laminated back and sides, with the indestructible beech ply neck and a rosewood fretboard.
This example is in fantastic condition and is all original with the exception of the tuners that have been changed to Gibson Deluxe machine heads, and possibly a replacement bridge. The guitar does have a couple of small marks/wear from age - see last 3 pictures. Comes complete with a brand new TGI hard case.
