The Hofner Senator was the "working man's" mid-range offering from Hofner in the '50s and 60's. Bound body and F-holes, and triple dot markers on the rosewood fretboard - This lovely blonde finished Senator is from 1959 (serial number 8148) and comes complete with the original tuners and compensator tail piece. This guitar will have started life as an acoustic archtop, however a Hofner Type 303 floating pickup has been added, together with volume and tone controls, to make this an electro acoustic archtop guitar. .
The guitar is in great shape with no real dings or scratches to note. The neck has been reset so action is perfect and the guitar is good to go on for another 50+ years. Slung with a new set of Thomastik flatwound 12s.
There is no case with this guitar but you can add a brand new Hofner Archtop case for only £99 (normal price £128).
