The Hofner Senator was the "working man's" mid-range offering from Hofner in the '50s and 60's. Bound body and F-holes, and triple dot markers on the rosewood fretboard - This lovely blonde finished Senator is from 1958 (serial number 5334) and comes complete with the original tuners. This guitar will have started life as an acoustic archtop, however a Hofner “Staple” pickup and Hofner rectangular control panel have been added to make this an electro acoustic guitar. The normal compensator tailpiece has been replaced with the trapeze tailpiece more commonly found on European issued Hofner guitars.
The guitar is in great shape with no real dings or scratches. The neck has been reset so action is perfect and the guitar is good to go on for another 50+ years
There is no case with this guitar but you can add a brand new Hofner Archtop case for only £99 (normal price £128).
