The fantastic looking guitar is a 1960s Musima Ambassador, which was the export name for the Musima Spezial. This rare 17” German Carve archtop guitar has a solid Spruce top with solid Maple back and sides. The 7 piece neck has a Stuaffer style screw bolt, Ebony fretboard and adjustable truss rod. The tuners have been long changed, upgraded to quality Grovers, with old tuner screw holes having been filled in.
The body is in great shape with a natural golden lacquer finish showing off the deep Rossmeisl/Roger German Carve. There are some marks to the top were we guess aftermarket pickups have been at some point in the guitars past, vacant holes to side where scratch plate bracket would have been fitted and a small scratch to the back – see last 9 pictures.
The guitar has been set up with a fresh set of Ernie Ball Earthwood 12s – the guitar has nice low action and plays really nicely – best of all is the sound of the guitar with great projection and balanced tone – sounds even better than it looks.
