Product Details

1930's Abbot & Co. 'The Aristone' Model L-W 1 Archtop Guitar - serial number 392.

A very rare archtop guitar hand made by J.G. Abbot & Co. Ltd in London, England in circa 1933. This guitar would appear to be in all original condition with exception of one of the tuner buttons. The Grover machine heads are in perfect working order as is the tailpiece and scratchplate. Construction comprises a solid hand carved Spruce top with Honduran Mahogany flat back and sides. The neck joins the body at the 14 th fret and has a lovely Brazilian Rosewood fret board.

The neck has been reset by ourselves along with a light refurbishment of the guitar – strung with a new set of Thomastik flatwound strings the guitar plays, and sounds, fantastic with nice low action and plenty of room up and down on the floating bridge - Comes with its original case.

Shipping within mainland UK using fully insured 24-hour courier service @ £35.00.

Customers outside of UK should contact Vintage Rare & Retro Guitars for a shipping quotation. Free pick-up is always available at our Gullane shop.
