Originally introduced in 1955 as a step up from the Les Paul Junior, the Les Paul Special quickly found favour among players who wanted the straightforward approach of a Junior with added versatility. Decades on The Les Paul Special returns to the classic design that made it relevant, played, and loved–shaping sound across generations and genres of music, with a slab mahogany body and single-cutaway design that deliver its unmistakable look and roaring midrange punch.
This TV Yellow finished model has a solid mahogany neck with a comfortable 50s Vintage profile, with a bound rosewood fretboard. For those who crave the distinctive high output of P-90 pickups, the Les Paul Special features a pair of these single-coil pickups, controlled by 2 volumes, 2 tones and a 3-way toggle switch, hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors. A wraparound bridge and Vintage Deluxe tuners with white buttons finish off this retro package.
The guitar serial number dates the guitar to 2022, however in reality the guitar is only a few months old and is in mint/as new condition. The guitar comes complete with its tan Gibson hard case – a great saving against buying a brand new model.
